About Us

Arafura OCC was founded by a group of like-minded people in 2004. We originally started with one site at Darwin Surf Club on Casuarina Beach with two six-man canoes and now also have canoes located at Darwin Ski Club. This enables us to stay on the water throughout the different seasons.

We have come from a range of ages (14 - 70 year olds to date) and backgrounds. Some paddlers have come with a range of water and land sport experience, while others have come for fun and fitness.
